English Essay- Cue for treason

English Essay-Cue For Treason

My English essay will be on the allowance of women acting in the theater.

Although not everybody would agree, I want to argue that women such as Katherine Russel AKA: Kit Kirkstone, should be able to have as many rights to act as the men do.

I have several reasons for arguing this point of view.

My first reason is, that letting women act will save the touring group money on making the men look and act like women. The women already do look and act this way. The men must ask of more money to act like a woman, mostly because it is a less practical part for them to play, and would ask more money as a “compensation” sort of thing.

Another reason would be, the RIGHTS of these women! From my opinion I think that it is totally sexist for the men being allowed to act but not the women. There should be a new law passed to enforce the rights of women. Even in this era. I think Queen Elizabeth, being a woman, would understand the grief of these women and not being able to act freely.

Therefore, though some people might argue that, there is no law already made saying that woman can’t act. Also that there is a law saying they can’t.

I think I have shown that, women do have potential to act and there are several good reasons why should be able to.
